1. Use of this website and enquiry form
This website is provided for businesses, workshops and fabricators that need information about laser machine repair, cutting head servicing and related support. You may use the site to read about our services, check our service areas and send an enquiry through the contact form. You must not use the site in any way that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or likely to interfere with normal operation.
- Do not submit false job details, serial numbers or machine fault descriptions.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access to forms, pages or connected systems.
- Do not copy site content for resale, scraping or repeated automated use.
2. Service information, pricing and quotations
The content on this site is provided for general information only. Descriptions of strip and inspection, collision damage repair, nozzle seat restoration, lens replacement, window replacement, sensor ring service, ceramic holder change, internal cleaning, gas path service, head alignment check, bench pressure test and return to service test are intended to explain the type of work we handle. Actual repair steps, turnaround times and parts requirements depend on the machine condition, head model and level of damage.
Any quotation issued by Laser Ray Tools will be based on the information supplied by the customer and, where needed, on inspection of the machine or cutting head. Prices may change if hidden wear, contamination or additional fault findings are discovered during diagnosis. All amounts are stated in Rand unless noted otherwise.
3. Technical risk, downtime and customer responsibility
Laser equipment is sensitive to setup, alignment and contamination. While we take care during bench and on site work, the customer remains responsible for the safe shutdown of the machine before access, for isolating power and assist gas where required, and for giving accurate information about the fault. If the machine is operated after a collision or with worn consumables, additional damage can occur and repairs may take longer.
- Back up production files and machine settings before service where possible.
- Remove loose material, offcuts and scrap from the work area before our visit.
- Make sure the machine is accessible and that site safety rules are followed.
4. Parts supply, repairs and return to service
We supply and fit parts that are appropriate to the inspection findings, including nozzles, lenses, protective windows and related cutting head components. Some parts may need to be ordered after diagnosis. We do not guarantee that every damaged component can be repaired, and in some cases replacement is the safer option. Where a machine is repaired on site, final results depend on the stability of the machine, the condition of the optics and the quality of the gas supply.
Before a unit is returned to production, a return to service test is normally performed to confirm that the head is functioning within practical operating limits. The customer should complete a final production trial and report any remaining fault promptly.
5. Liability limits and external links
To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, trading as Laser Ray Tools, will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, business interruption, missed orders or production delays caused by the use of this website or by reliance on general information published here.
